5 Ways to Use E3 Expo to Expand Your Promotional Modeling Network

Participate in Networking Events:

As with most major trade shows and expos, the E3 Expo will have networking events, as well as, before and after parties. If you have the free time to attend these events, we highly recommend that you do so. By attending these events, you will have the ability to not only interact with other trade show and E3 expo models, but you will have the ability to meet many important and prestigious attendees and exhibitors. Take the time to mingle with the crowd
and talk to as many people as possible. You never know which connection can lead you to your next gig or full time position.

Bring Copies of Your Comp Card:

When it comes to networking, you never know who you will meet or where you will meet them. So, be sure to bring a handful of your modeling comp cards to the E3 Expo and pass them out during your free time. Whether you meet a major modeling label or a company that you’re really interested in, by having a handful of your comp cards on hand at all times, you will decrease your chances of being forgotten and increase your chances of getting hired.

Share Your E3 Adventure with Your Social Followers:

Another great way to use the E3 Expo to expand your promotional modeling network is by sharing your E3 experience with social media. Share, photos, videos, and statuses about your adventure at E3 and how much fun you’re having! When sharing your E3 adventure, don’t forget to incorporate the event hashtag & event pages, or your posts won’t be found easily. Also, be sure to keep an eye on the event hashtag and retweet, respond to, comment on, or share any posts that interest you. This will help you to stay engaged with the social media conversation surrounding the E3 Expo and help you to increase your network.

Socialize With Your Team:

Take the time to get to know your fellow E3 expo promotional models, eat lunch with them, grab a drink after work, or just plain socialize! The more people you interact with, the better! This is especially true when it comes to your fellow promotional models. As with most promotional and expo events, getting to know your teammates is the best way to expand your network and really increase your booking chances. Not to mention, your fellow promotional and expo models are full of a wealth of knowledge that may inspire and/or educate you.

Perfect Your Elevator Pitch:

Finally, the last way to expand your promotional modeling network through E3 is by perfecting your elevator pitch. At massive trade shows and expos such as the E3 Expo there isn’t always a lot of time to interact with others. Sometimes it’s less than 1 minute, or worse, 30 seconds. So, in order to ensure you promote yourself to the fullest, take the time to practice and perfect your elevator pitch. Make sure the person you are interacting with knows exactly who you are, what you do, and where you’re headed in life all within a tiny elevator pitch. In doing so, everyone you interact with will have a good idea of who you are and whether or not they want to take the time to get to know you. Bonus tip: Be sure to hand each person your comp card as you recite your elevator pitch. This will help to ensure that they remember your face.

So, there you have it - 5 Tips for Expanding your Modeling Network at the E3 Expo.
